Trump: White House Dinner Seemed Inappropriate

5/1/2011 2:19 PM PDT by TMZ Staff   Donald Trump was surprised that he was the butt of so many jokes at last night's White House Correspondents' Dinner, bemoaning, "It was almost like, is there anyone else they could talk about?"

The Donald called in to "Fox and Friends" this morning (did you think he'd call "Meet the Press"?) where he said he felt the whole event "seemed inappropriate" considering that "the American people are really suffering."
He went on to call Seth Meyers "a stutterer" and said he didn't think he'd be "virtually the sole focus" of the evening.

Charlie Sheen -- Back in Las Vegas

5/1/2011 7:44 AM PDT by TMZ Staff   Charlie Sheen returned to Sin City last night -- the place where the bender that started it all went down -- but according to our guy inside, Charlie was on his best behavior.

Charlie arrived at Chateau Nightclub just before 2:00 AM and stayed til about 4:00 AM. He kept to his own VIP booth; didn't get on the mic or address the crowd at any point. The only interaction he had with fans was when he posed for a pic with a fan who appeared to have Down Syndrome (see video below).
The last time Charlie was in Vegas was back in January -- he was spotted pounding vodka shots and was overheard complaining about his bosses at "Two and a Half Men" wanting him to rehab.
Can it be that it was all so simple then?

Donald Trump Fires Back at David Letterman

 NBC/Ali Goldstein
The Donald-David feud continues to heat up, this time with fire coming from Trump's end.
Donald Trump shot back at David Letterman after the late night host publicly accused Trump of making racist comments toward President Obama during an on-air chat with Dr. Phil. In a letter to Letterman, Trump wrote that he was cancelling his May 18 appearance on Late Night, among other things…
MORE: Does David Letterman Want to Ban Donald Trump From the Late Show?
The New York Post is reporting that Trump's letter to Letterman not only served as a cancellation notification, but as a tongue-lashing.
"I was disappointed to hear the statements you made about me last night on your show that I was a 'racist,'" Trump wrote. "In actuality, nothing could be further from the truth and there is nobody who is less of a racist than Donald Trump. Based upon your statements, and despite the fact that we have always done so well together, especially in your ratings, I am canceling my May 18th appearance on your show."
And if that wasn't enough, Trump also wrote that he wouldn't be doing a Top Ten list that was in the works. "Please inform your staff that I will likewise not do the 'top ten' list that they had been trying to set up," he says in the letter.
Last week, Letterman said about Trump: "If he comes back on this show, and I am not sure we want him back on this show under these circumstances, he ought to be prepared to apologize just for that kind of behavior."
Looks like Donald won't be coming back on Late Show to apologize any time soon.

Five Potential Spoilers for New Superman Flick

Andrew H. Walker/Getty Images; DC Comics
So, per the Hollywood trade press, Henry Cavill's Superman will be bedeviled in the new big-screen adventure by Kryptonian bad-gal Faora (played by Pandorum's Antje Traue)—unless that is, he's not 'cause Faora and Traue aren't locked in yet. (The all-knowing Warners Bros. hasn't announced anything either way.)

While things are murky now, we know enough on the whole about the film's cast and characters to make some educated Man of Steel guesses:

RELATED: Keeping tabs on the new Batman movie
1. Krypton Will Be the Place to Be: Superman Homepage editor Steve Younis is intrigued by the commitment to General Zod (to be played by Michael Shannon) and the prospect of Faora, two aggrieved types who hail from our hero's home planet. (The Hollywood Reporter says the villainess could actually be Ursa, Sarah Douglas' baddie from the first two movies who was based on Faora, but no difference: Ursa is also from Krypton.) "It leads me to believe that we might see more focus on Superman's Kryptonian heritage," Younis said in an email. "Maybe even an attempt by Zod to make Earth a new Krypton, or at least an attempt to stamp his authority over the planet."
2. Zod Will Kill, Literally: Yes, Terence Stamp was a chilling menace in Superman I and II, but did you see Shannon go off in Revolutionary Road? "Terrence Stamp—[his Zod] never actually killed anyone," Superman Super Site editor Neil Cole told us. "I could actually see Michael Shannon's Zod going to the point of completely annihilating people."
3. Superman Will Be Pretty Much Screwed: Not only could Zod be more brutal, but Faora, Younis said, "has been a far more ruthless Kryptonian villain than Ursa."
4. Lois Lane Will Not Kid Around: In Superman Returns, the then-23-year-old Kate Bosworth played the Daily Planet's ace reporter as a young, single mom. Cole expects Man of Steel's 36-year-old Amy Adams, unveiled as Lois last month, to bring "more seriousness to the role, kind of in the vein that Margot Kidder did [in the Christopher Reeve movies], one that's more established in her career."
5. Ma and Pa Kent Will Be Bigville: "Diane Lane['s casting] and Kevin Costner's casting tells me that the Kents involvement in this film will be important and pivotal to the main story," Younis said.

How Furious Was Fast Five?

 Universal Pictures
Laugh if you want, but that 5-year-old screenwriter is good: Fast Five was monster at the weekend box office.
The eye-popping stats:
RELATED: Super Superman spoilers?
The $125 million sequel grossed $165 million worldwide, per estimates, including $83.6 million here.
It was the biggest-opening movie of the year domestically.
It was the biggest-opening movie in the Jurassic Park-, E.T.-graced history of Universal Pictures.
It was biggest-opening April opener ever.
And, of course:
It was the biggest-opening Fast and Furious movie ever.
Perhaps not so obviously, the car flick, memorably mocked by The Onion, was the franchise's best-reviewed movie, too. (On Rotten Tomatoes, the film scored a positive rating not far off from Jane Eyre's.)
So, yes, if anyone asks, Vin Diesel saves.
Elsewhere, the tween flick Prom and the animated Hoodwinked Too were non-starters.
Rio, which was out at No. 1 after a two-weekend stay, crossed $100 million overall domestically, while Scream 4 disappeared from the Top 10 after grossing just $35.5 million overall.
Robert Pattinson's and Reese Witherspoon's Water for Elephants held OK, unlike Madea's Big Happy Family, which saw ticket sales drop 60 percent from last weekend.

Pregnant Jersey Shore Star? I Think Its All Fake Says Pal

 Bobby Bank/WireImage.com, Michael Stewart/WireImage
While we know for sure that Angelina Pivarnick and ex fiancé David Kovacs are dunzo, another thing is still in question.
Is the former Jersey Shore star really pregnant?!
One of Pivarnick's Jersey gal pals is telling us that, not only would she make a bad mother, but that the whole thing is probably a hoax anyway...
READ: Marc Anthony talks about the twins
"I don't think she's really pregnant," Jerseylicious star Tracy DiMarco told us while promoting the show's third season (premiering May 15). "I think it's all fake, but I mean, I don't know anymore. Especially with her, she's crazy. I love her but she's really crazy. You never know what goes on with her."
"I just can't see Ang getting pregnant right now," DiMarco adds. "I mean, I guess her getting engaged is one thing but she's not married yet and she has all these plans of doing her wrestling thing and how are you going to wrestle if you're pregnant?"
But does DiMarco think she would make a good mom?
"No!" she laughed. "Not right now. She's like a little girl stuck in a 23-year-old's body. She's so young-minded and I just think that right now she's in her party mode... I think she needs to give it a couple more years."
While the pregnancy is still up in the air, DiMarco says she'll make like Pivarnick's ex and step up to the plate if there is in fact a baby on board.
"I'll definitely baby sit," she says. "I love babies!"

Is It a Full (Whore)house on Khloé & Lamar?

It can be tough enough for newlyweds to adapt to their new living arrangements even under normal circumstances. But "normal" is not a word you'd normally apply to  Khloé Kardashian Odom and hubby Lamar Odom's situation. After all, they got married after dating just 30 days.
Add to the mix Khloé's brother Rob and Lamar's BFF Jamie as nearly-always-there "roommates," and things start to get a little crazy cozy. But wait, there's more ...
Jamie's got female visitors stopping by. And Rob's upset that he can't have the same privileges.
But Khloé's putting her foot down: "My house is not a hotel," she declares in this week's episode of Khloé & Lamar ... "It's not gonna be a free-for-all with all these litle whores waiting outside!"
See for yourself ...
What do you think? Is Khloe being a stick in the mud when it comes to the guys' love lives? Or are these freeloaders just clueless about who's putting the roof over their heads?
Sound off in the poll.

Ricky Gervais Rips on the Royal Wedding Festivities...and David Beckham, Too

 ROBYN BECK/AFP/Getty Images
Wondering why Ricky Gervais wasn't invited to Duke William and Duchess Kate's nuptials? Wonder no more.
Never one to shy away from a barbed comment, the outspoken comedian couldn't help but to offer up a few jokes regarding the big day via his blog.
MORE: Jon Stewart Wants Ricky Gervais to Apologize...For Being Funny!
"I sent Prince Harry a text today offering to gag up his best man speech. (True.), " Gervais wrote. "He said he was fine. Hmmm? If I hear he's done any holocaust or famine s--t I will sue obviously. I also reminded him it wasn't fancy dress."
And that was just the beginning...
"On a serious note; I really like Harry," Gervais went on. "I like William too and really wish the happy couple all the best, as I would anyone on their wedding day. But...really. Enough already. Who are these f--king mongs from all over the world camping out for f--king days to get a 30 second glimpse of two people from 30 yards away? Christ. Still, mustn't grumble. I suppose everyone gets a day off."
And then it was time to take a crack at David Beckham (well, sort of).
"Everybody was saying that David Beckham has started to look like me," Gervais said. "I was flattered until I realized that my name was somehow being used as an insult. (F--k it. I'm still taking it as a compliment.)"
Gervais then posted a photo of himself with the caption, "Here he is looking great."
Perhaps the Hollywood Foreign Press Association should give this funnyman another shot.

Celebrity Apprentice: Star Jones Is "Bossy," NeNe Leakes Is a "Bitch"

 Virginia Sherwood/NBC
A couple of weeks ago, Celebrity Apprentice contestant Hope Dworaczyk told us that she thinks NeNe Leakes is "unstable."
Well, she's also not too thrilled with Star Jones' erratic behavior…
READ: Who's the latest to go on Top Chef Masters?
"Star was bossy and you couldn't tell her any different," Dworaczyk told us at Us Weekly's Hot in Hollywood party. "But NeNe was a bitch, too.
"I love them both and I hate them both, because they were so hard to work with, yet, when we were in our down time, they were fun and enlightening and dancing on the floor," she continued. "I hated them during The Apprentice."
Promos for tonight's episode show just how ugly it got between Jones and Leakes. "It's the biggest catfight television has seen," Dworaczyk said.
Oy.
Meanwhile Dworaczyk isn't exactly supporting Donald Trump for president. "I may be the next Celebrity Apprentice, so I can't tell you my real answer," she laughed, when asked if she'd vote for The Donald. She added, "I don't think most of us would say, ‘Yes.' But if we could possibly be fired still, maybe."
